Mac App Store version: the shell cannot see my files

Apple requires App Store apps to run in the App Sandbox, and the terminal's shell runs inside it too. The shell starts with no access to your files. Click Grant Home Folder Access in the sidebar, or open Settings ▸ General ▸ Folder Access, and choose your home folder. New sessions will then load your shell configuration and SSH keys. Sessions that were already open keep their old access, so open a new session with ⌘T.

Mac App Store version: a command says "operation not permitted"

The sandbox lets the shell run only programs that ship with macOS, such as those in /bin and /usr/bin, including ssh. It cannot run Homebrew tools or git. If you need those, use the direct-download version from shell-pilot.web.app. That version has no sandbox and is bought separately.
